Aunt Lisa and Uncle Bill Visit!

BIG DAY!
We had a big day today! Brady is getting his first tooth! The tooth is giving him a little bit of a hard time, but we are fighting it off with lots of stuff to chew on. Reese showed Mommy how she could stand by herself for about 3 seconds, so I guess she didn't want brother to be the only one having a big day! More excitement to come, folks. Stay tuned.

Another big day!
We have another graduation . . . Brady and Reese have started taking baths in the big boy/girl tub! No more baby tub! I have to say that I am relieved to be getting rid of at least 2 of the millions of baby equipment/supplies that have taken over our house.
We also were able to visit Granny and Papa Charles today! Mr. Charles took Brady to see his birds, and Reese played with Granny and her Lilly Leap frog! Reese and Brady pretty much attempted to destroy their house with spit up, baby food, and finger prints, but it may be salvagable! They are true grandparents and didn't mind a bit!
I wanna do it!
New Orleans Saints 2029
Everyone was surprised when Uncle Darrin popped the question!
Congratulations to Darrin and Marcella on their engagement! We couldn't be happier to officially have Marcella and Cameron as in-laws, even though they have been family for years. Darrin also just closed on a beautiful new house with a huge backyard, so we are waiting for our first BBQ/crawfish invite!
New Trick!
Brady surprised us with a new trick yesterday! We knew that the pull to standing was soon, since he was so close, but he did it! One minute he is pulling up to his knees, and the next he is pulling up to a standing position! It is really so amazing how fast it happens, because just last week he started pulling up to knees. Reese still just watches and claps, but she is beginning to gain some distance in her creepy crawl. Hers is more like target throwing . . . she throws her body toward the target and rolls or scoots. It is actually quite ingenius until she gets stuck and wants us to pull her up!
If the roads weren't safe before . . .
Gary's contribution to the blog! He wanted to take 2 cars to the North Shore, so Brady and Reese borrowed his!
We took Reese and Brady to have pictures made in their Baptism outfits, and we always get the best shots when they are changed and "off duty!" We are definitely going to have some serious babies in the professional photos, but this was them afterward! By the way, Brady popped 2 buttons on his new outfit on the way to the pictures, so I guess we will go find another before the Baptism! They grow so fast! At least we got some pictures out of this one. Just don't pay any attention if you notice Brady is a little blue from his outfit being so tight. I tried to teach him how to suck it in, but he isn't very good at it yet! I will post those pictures when we get them!
Our new games
I wish you could see them playing their peek-a-boo game through the aquarium tunnel. I have video, but I can't upload it. They both think it is a riot . . . except when Brady bowls right over Reese in his excitement! They are really playing well together, so it is fun to watch.
They also are enjoying standing outside the exersaucer and holding on to stand. They cannot pull up to standing position, but Brady pulls up to his knees. They both stand holding on, but only for a brief period of time. Don't try putting them inside the exersaucer these days. Apparently, it is much too confining! Brady has just discovered that he can keep crawling after the cats into a different room. So much for leaving doors open! Good thing we have already baby-proofed the house. Reese isn't crawling, but she does manage to scoot on her stomach a short distance. She doesn't really enjoy the work, so she will scream for me to "adjust" her when she is ready. I think Reese will always be able to verbalize exactly what she wants!

Visit
Chasing the cats
Well, since Brady is quite mobile these days, the cats are in for a real treat. Yesterday I caught him in a stare down with Tuffy. Tuffy felt safe, because he was still about 5 feet from her, but his army crawl is gaining speed! Reese was watching from their toy palate, so I sat her over to enjoy the action!
