Saints game

Well, it was a rough day for Saints fans. With the season being over, Super Bowl won't hold as much joy, since the Saints were so close! We had a great day with Joey and Wendy anyway, and I am going to try to send another photo show!

Doctor's visit

We had our first shared doctor appointment today, and everything went well. We were really surprised to see that Reese now weighs 6 lbs. 1 ounce, 18 inches, and Brady is 7 lbs. 8 ounces, 18 1/2 inches! That is quite a jump in a week's time. Of course, they are on the higher calorie formula, but we didn't anticipate that big of a difference! They got clean bills of health, and we will go back in a month for immunizations. We really like our pediatrician and her staff, so that helps.

I am still attempting to get more pictures on the blog, but it may be a week or so! Stay posted :)

Here is the link to go so Reese's discharge picture from the hospital. If they ask for a password, it is Napolitano. Let me know if it doesn't work!

pictures

This may be a long shot, but I am going to try to give the internet address for some pictures. I realize you probably cannot copy and paste from the blog, so you may have to type it in. I can't wait to get another digital camera!!!!!!! You don't realize how convenient they are until you try to go through Walgreens system. Good luck, and let me know if it doesn't work.

We are home!

We are finally back in New Orleans! The trip was not that bad. Brady and Reese slept most of the way, but the car was packed, so I didn't have much room to sit. That made the trip seem a little longer, but it was a small price to pay to get home safely!

Who was the culprit that announced our precious arrivals by decorating the house? It was so cute when we drove up! Everyone made comments and congratulated us, so it was a lot of fun. Thank you to the anonymous decorator/s! I think we have an idea of who it is!

I miss Lesley and family already!

January 6, 2007

Guess who came home today?!!!!! Reese and Brady were re-aquainted at 10:30 a.m. today. Reese has already knocked Brady in the head, but he didn't protest too much! It was so exciting and overwhelming. Now we will just have to try to do everything twice! I wish I had some of the precious pictures to show, but we will work on it asap. Gary and I hope to drive back tomorrow, so we can start settling in at our home.

Lesley and Nick have been such a blessing for us. It will be very hard to separate tomorrow, but we are glad we will get to see them again in March for Justin and Ragan's shower! Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts. We have been very blessed.

January 3, 2007

Well, it looks like we are getting a little closer to discharge, even though I can't say exactly when that will be. Reese is now taking 6 bottles a day, and if she takes the entire amount for about 2 consecutive days, they will probably bump her up to 8 bottles. She has to take 8 bottles for at least 2 days before they discharge. She will have to pass her car seat test, and get a hearing screening in the meantime. I don't know if I can even express how happy we will be to get out of this hospital!

Brady is still doing well, but he is a little confused as to when he should be sleeping, and when he should be seeking attention! He is quite restless at night, but sleeps like a log during the day! I tried to make him get up and play with me yesterday, but he would have nothing to do with it! He is on a pretty consistent eating schedule, so we assume that he will be content and settled by the time Reese comes home, so we can start all over again!

By the way, my digital camera has become a casualty to the hospital, so it will be awhile before I have some more pictures! I guess I will be resorting back to disposable cameras for awhile!

January 1, 2007

Happy New Year! Lesley and I are celebrating by having a girl's day with Reese at the hospital. She is now 4lb 6 ounces, and she just wiped out her 3rd bottle of the day. We will not be going up to 6 bottles today, but cross your fingers that we do tomorrow!

Brady, Taylor, Gary, and Nick stayed home to watch the bowl games. We are sure they are finding a way to make a big mess while we are gone! Mom and Dad left yesterday, but Mom made lots of yummy food, because she obviously thinks we don't eat unless she is around! It was very sad to see them go.

Taylor went to her first New Years party last night, and she partied hard! Apparently, they had to drag her out at 10:30, because she was still going strong! She was still talking about it when she woke up this morning.
