So grown up!

Brady and Reese are really growing fast! Reese finally has a couple of visible teeth, which is a little bit of a relief. Some of you don't know, but we were encouraged to get dental x-rays on her, since she didn't have any by her first birthday to make sure she had them in her head! Baby dentures did not sound like fun. It is good to know they are actually there! She has also decided to start walking all over the place, and doesn't have a problem keeping up with Brady! Exciting stuff!

Brady is fearless. I have never seen a child voluntarily stick their face under the bath water with no prompting! At first I thought he was just experimenting, but now I am pretty sure he is practicing scuba diving! Maybe he will be a swimmer! It is really funny to see!

We have a couple of fun things coming up . . . Mardi Gras Barkus parade, family coming in March, Uncle Joey coming home in February, good times!

New Year's Eve

Well, we are big party animals in our house for New Years! The four of us went to a sushi place close to the house, and we were home by 7:00! Of course, the firecrackers going off all night long kept Gary and I awake. It didn't seem to bother Reese and Brady. I can't believe they didn't wake up, since it sounded like they were going off outside our windows!

The kids really enjoyed the dinner. We always take their food and cheerios, but shrimp and rice were higher on their priority list! I wish I would have taken my camera! They were eating it off chopsticks, and pretending to be very sophisticated diners. We had a good time.

More Christmas pictures

Grandma's house was as busy as usual! It was great to see family, and Tod was even able to come from Hawaii! Brady and Reese partied so much that they passed out at the end of the evening!

Christmas at Grandmother and Grandpa's house!

We finally are reunited with the grandparents and great-grandparents! It was great to spend Christmas day at Grandmother and Grandpa's house. Taylor, Lesley, Nana, Papa, and Grandmother were with us early in the morning. Justin and Ragan had to leave the night before, but we spent time with them before they left. Grandpa came out to the house for the festivities, and we also visited up at the hospital. I am going to have to attach the pictures in groups, since there were so many! Reese and Brady got so many toys and clothes, we didn't think we would be able to bring them all home! I think their parents liked the toys as much as they did!

December 22, 2007

We left for Texas on Saturday, and it was our first true test with Brady and Reese in the car. We started at 5:45 a.m. in hopes that they would sleep a little for the first half of the ride. With the help of the DVD player that Justin, Ragan, and Lesley got, they did great! We stopped a few times, and it took us 9 hours, but they were excellent! We couldn't ask for better travelers!

Party time

Birthday Party

We tried to have a small family get together for the 1st birthday party, but nothing seems small when your house isn't very big! Brady and Reese had some of their first friends over (the families that have taken care of them while Gary and I are at work), their aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and a couple of work friends! We were so grateful for all the love a support everyone has given us and our children. I had a wonderful time, and we feel so fortunate to be surrounded by so much love!

Thankfully, we had some help with opening the presents, but Ms. Reese decided to stay really close to Mommy until she warmed up to a house full! They slowly, but surely, went nuts with the cake, and it even ended up in their hair! That is why you will see naked babies in some of the pictures!

All that excitement made them sleep well last night, so now we are getting geared up to go to Texas for Christmas!

1st Birthday!
