Anniversary weekend

5 years! Yeah! We spent the night in the Quarter while Wendy watched the kids. Thank you, Wendy! It was a fantastic time. We met Pete and Teresa for lunch at Drago's. You cannot beat those charbroiled oysters! I doubled my money at Harrah's. Don't get excited, I only played with $50! Gary and I had the most fabulous hotel, and we ate at the Feelings Cafe. That is where we went for our first anniversary. It was wonderful.

Playing at Lesley's house

We are pretty much outside all the time now, so the kids decided to help with Lesley's yard. Nick brought Taylor home from school, so we all got to watch the "yard work."

Pictures from Grandma's house

Quick trip to Clifton!

We had some time to go to Clifton for the day to visit Grandma. We were lucky enought to see Randy, too, so it was a great trip! The kids found all kinds of things to play with, and they were fascinated by the cats that hang around outside. Unfortunately, they were not able to catch any of them, much to their dismay. We had a really good time, and it was great to see Grandma!

Visiting Grandmother

The kids had the neatest place to play at the hospital we went to. There was a little "carousel" that they could climb on, but it didn't move. This was a little confusing to them at first. They kept saying, "ready!" It helped entertain them while we visited. Grandmother is doing really well, so thanks for all your prayers!

I love worms!

Not me . . . Reese. She "hugs" them, pulls them around in wagons, laughs at them, etc. It is not safe to be a worm in our backyard.

Visit with Uncle Ernie

The kids loved playing with all the blood pressure cuffs, wheelchairs, thermometers, etc. when visiting with Uncle Ernie. He loaded them up with enough candy to keep them wired for a week! It was a nice visit.

Mother's Day

We went to Biloxi for Mother's Day this year. Actually, I think this is our annual ritual! Lisa and Bill always make yummy food, and they have a fabulous home . . . lots of room to run and get into things! Brady made sure that everyone knew how "messy" Bill's riding lawn mower was. He remedied the problem by using a wipe to clean it off. Wipes are our answer to everything. Got a bobo? Need a wipe. Wet shirt? Wipe will fix it. Brady also really loved the shop vac and water hose. Reese did her share of running through the yard and playing in sand. Thankfully, they slept most of the way home! It was a fantastic Mother's day!

Picnic Pictures

Kid's Kicking Cancer Picnic

Here are some Kid's Kicking Cancer Picnic pictures. What a mouth full. The kids called it the "picnic party." It wore them out. It was fabulous. Phyllis did a great job, as usual, in pulling it all together. Shelley manned the tye dye, which was very brave and the LAST thing that I would want to do! The kids loved the pool, and they even went fishing with Jonathan and Brian! Brady caught 2 fish, and Reese caught 1. They were passed out with mouths open on the ride home!

Back to the Zoo!

We are always going to have something to do with that zoo membership! The kids love it, and it completely wears them out! Now that we can go whenever we want, I just let them decide what they want to see that day, and we don't worry about trying to squeeze everything in. If we make it 2-3 hours, that is a victory! We always seem to end up at the statues . . . riding the ducks, laughing at the elephant fountain, etc. I know you are going to get tired of zoo pictures, but they always surprise me! The snakes were a huge hit this time. They have already requested that Papa find a rattler left behind by one of those mean old West Texas snakes!

Cinco de Mayo!

Party time at our house! We ate and ate and ate. I felt pretty sick by the end of the night, but it was totally worth it! We weren't quite sure what we were celebrating, but it didn't really matter!

Brian thought it was a Wiggles Party!

Welcome to Cinco De Mayo celebration, Captain Feathersword!

Swimming

We got a new "special surprise" for the backyard - that is our newest saying. Reese really loves the water, and Brady enjoys anything that involves destruction in the water! I am going to attach a lot of pictures, because we had a great time.
