Taking Mommy to the Doctor

The kids usually enjoy going up to the hospital. Their favorites include . . . riding the escalator (or alligator, as they say), watching my blood draws, running around tortoring old people, and playing with the roped-off piano. I guess the rope means "don't touch," but we are still working on that.

Heart to Heart Kids

Reese acted like she encountered oversized, silent, stuffed dogs on a daily basis. I thought she would flip out when she saw Gumbo! I guess we can attribute it to her love for stuffed animals. Brady had to eyeball him awhile before he offered a "high 5!" I don't blame him!

Bubbles in the Backyard

Isn't it amazing how much fun dish soap is?

Back to the Museum!

Farmer's Market

Reese surprised us and wanted her face painted. She started to fidget at the end, but ended up with a nice little panda bear on her face. Brady wanted no part in it. We all danced together to the music, and Daddy, Brady, and Reese at snoballs. It was hot, but fun!

Farmer's Market - Horses

We made a family trip to the Farmer's Market, because the horses were going to be there. Reese was a little nervous at first (notice she was running away), but then she looked like a pro!

Children's Museum

A New Place to Play

We finally made it to the Children's Museum, and the kids loved it! There was so much for them to do. We went with Holly and Brennan, and we didn't even do half of the stuff! I was hoping the kids would pass out on the way home, but I guess they were just too excited about the new discovery! We are so lucky that there are so many family activities in New Orleans that you can get memberships to. It makes it very affordable family fun! We went again with Gary yesterday. I think he was feeling a little left out of all the fun we have been having! I am going to have to post a series of pictures, because they just had so much fun exploring. I love catching them in action!

Hello Baby Nicole!

Well, all these babies are growing up on us! We had a play date with Nicole, who is now 1, and the kids reluctantly shared their toys. She is so laid back and happy. It was fun to get the kids together.

Earlier in the day, I took Reese to the Farmer's Market, and Gary took Brady to the Saint's Training Camp. It was Mother-Daughter, Father-Son day. Thankfully, we are now able to switch out and spend a little more time one-on-one with the kids. Gary is still refusing to take them both out alone (coward!), but it is so much easier to go out in public. I thought the day would never come!

We also went to our friend, Hayden's third birthday party at the Monkey Room. The camera battery went out. Imagine that. The kids had a great time, but Gary and I were exhausted after this busy Saturday!

Welcome Home Merrin!

Gary went to the airport to welcome home Joey, Wendy, and Merrin! I am sure that they were all relieved to finally be home! She is beautiful, and seems to be adjusting so well. Congratulations to Joey, Wendy, and Meghan!

Play Date

We went to play with Brennan on Friday, and I think Reese technically had her first date. I told her she couldn't ride in the car with boys until she was 18, but she went behind my back!
